I Have RAISED AND DONATED OVER $50,000

Picture

JUST A LITTLE ABOUT ME:

I reside in San Diego California and have lived here for over 35 years. I am a bus driver for the Metropolitan Transit System and have been employed there for 15 years now.

I have spent my life savings on creating autism awareness and continue to invest my work earnings to create awareness for the children living with autism. I have raised and donated over $50, 0000 so far to different autism organizations.

The goal of this new challenge is to raise another $50,000 to go towards the cause. Please support my movement if you know or love someone with autism by registering for the virtual run/walk for autism.
Who will you pass the baton to & will they accept the challenge?

My name is Jasmin. I am the proud single parent of twin boys , Bryson and Brayden. They were diagnosed with Autism just before turning 3 years old. Bryson is moderate on the spectrum and Brayden is non verbal. He communicates by using his AAC device. And together we’re working to change the way the world sees those with Autism and the non verbal population. Vee is one of our heroes who uses his voice for those who can’t….
Now 7 years later, my dynamic duo has taught me so much more than I could ever teach them. I spend most of my days trying my hardest to advocate while being a hot mess and barely scathing by. This journey with them has been both my greatest challenge and my most rewarding endeavor. And I can’t wait to see how they surprise me next!

TEAM ZARI (BELOW)

Hi Vee, we are Team Zari!!!

We are a blended family of seven. Our Zari was diagnosed with Autism at the age of two, and then diagnosed with Epilepsy at age five. I’m Latara (Zari’s Mom) I also have multiple sclerosis which makes life very challenging for our family sometimes. Our family is from Chicago, IL and we all currently reside in LasVegas,NV. We love to have fun with and teach Zari everything she needs to know to succeed in life. We especially teach her to advocate for herself. Zari is now 19 and she knows she has Autism and Epilepsy, but despite the diagnosis of having multiple disabilities she doesn’t give up! Zari enjoys dancing, singing, traveling, she LOVES music and performing arts. As a family we want her to live her BEST LIFE! She is preparing to go to college in a few years and we support her, we could use money to assist her with this goal. We love and appreciate you Vee. Your support for our family is appreciated. Thanks for doing so much for the Autism community, you are an inspiration and truly AUSOME!!
Thanks for the opportunity to participate in this challenge!

Hi! We are a family of 5, Aiden is our oldest, he is 12 and has Autism, Joshalyn is almost 9, and we just had a baby Jeremiah and he is already 6 months old. We love to spread awareness in our community just like you. If we won, it would help us be able to go on a fun trip this summer. Fingers crossed!! Thank you for everything you do!!

TEAM GAVENSTRONG (below)

Hi we are Gaven Strong. Gaven not only has non verbal autism he was also born with a broken heart. Gaven has had 4 open heart surgeries and 13 heart caths. If we won we would use the money to take Gaven back and forth to his Doctor appointments. Most are 50 miles from our home and twice a year he has to go all the way to Omaha childrens hospital which is 8 hrs away from home. It would definitely ease the burden of gas prices.

My name is Tami Ortega and my Husband is Carlos. We have a 21 yo Son Devin in the Navy and a 5yo Son named Liam. We have no Family or relatable Friends so it’s really just us 3.

Our 5 yo is fairly new with his Autistic diagnosis. 1 year in August. It has been such a learning experience for us all with our unique, sweet silly boy. Sometimes it can be a struggle as we are all still learning how to manage but we’re getting there.

I would use the money to put half in a Savings account for our Son and the other half to help pay for therapies. I only work PT so that I can stay home with Liam which leaves my poor Husband (Truck Driver) working ……a lot! We agree that it’s worth it as only I can do what’s best for my baby.
Thank Your

TEAM ADRIEL GAEL (below)

Picture
Hello,

I am the mother of Adriel Gael. Before his diagnose I was a full time employee and single parent to 4 children. When Adriel was diagnosed with Autism at age two our whole family changed. This was something new to our family and it was a hard situation to learn since we had no experience in what autism was. So I basically had to go back to part time to attend ABA, OT and Speech. Since then I lost so many opportunities to grow at work to be able to be there for my son’s new journey. I would never take or regret anything because this taught us to love and appreciate each other even more as a family. It’s been tuff lately and lord knows I’ve been struggling so much these past months. if I can win this money I can take my baby to Disneyland (Definitely can’t afford that especially with my part time job) and even pay my water bill. Thank you for giving us parents with children on the spectrum this opportunity.

May god bless you 🙏🏼🧩
Best regards,

My name is David. My son is a nine year old low functioning child with autism, my wife is a stage 4 cervical cancer fighter/survivor. The money would help us buy food because we do not get any state assistance. My son does receive SSI but it just isn’t enough, this would help us buy necessities. It would be nice to stock the freezer and pantry. Thank you for offering such a nice thing!

TEAM JORDYN (BELOW)

Hi Vee! I’ve been following you for a long time, and love all you do for others! It’s been a pleasure watching you grow within this amazing community. My name is Kyla, my husband is Sam, and our daughters name is Jordyn. Our girl is 11 years old, she is severely autistic alongside ADHD and all of the symptoms that surround those diagnoses. She is nonverbal and unable to learn sign language due to how her sensory processing affects her hands. They are constantly moving. If any money where to come our way it would be put towards A speech device to help her communicate! We are unable to afford one and have just started saving up, that would be a great blessing for her. Again, thank you so much for all you continue to do for the autism  community. You truly are a blessings!

Sincerely, Kyla
